Reiki I Certification Course with Cheryl Hawkins Parmenter, RMT
Reiki, rediscovered by Dr. Mikao Usui in the 1900s, is the ancient art of spiritual and energetic balancing that fosters healing on many levels. Reiki attunes us to the universal life force. It can be learned and practiced by anyone for physical, emotional and mental wellness. In this day-long experience we will discuss the origins of Reiki, the subtle and energetic aspects of the body and some basic principles to better our lives. You will learn how to give Reiki treatments and be attuned to the first level of Reiki practice.
When: Sunday February 20, 2022

Cheryl Hawkins Parmenter: A loving mother of 2, grandmother of 5, Cheryl became interested in Reiki in 2007 when her best friend, Mary, was suffering with end stage ovarian cancer. Nothing seemed to bring her relief. Cheryl and Mary attended a workshop where Reiki was demonstrated and Mary experienced immediate relief—but the treatments became too expensive to continue. Hearing that Reiki could be learned by anyone, Cheryl became determined to receive the attunements herself, studying under Lisa Campion, where she became able to “master” the gentle but powerful healing technique so that she could treat Mary frequently and at no charge. Mary’s pain lessened after each treatment and her overall emotional condition lightened. Mary surprised all the medical doctors and lived an additional 2 plus years.
After Mary passed, Cheryl continued to perform Reiki at The Robin’s Nest, eventually being called to share her knowledge by attuning others so that the power of universal love would continue its ability to heal the world.
